Gainesville Today Magazine Awarded Three ADDY Awards!
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Feb. 28, 2013 – Gainesville Today magazine was honored with three ADDY awards at the 2013 ADDY Awards Gala on Feb. 15.
Hosted by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the oldest national advertising trade association in the U.S., the gala honored student and professional excellence in advertising and media in a variety of categories, including publication design, magazine design, nontraditional advertising and digital advertising.
Gainesville Today was awarded a Gold ADDY for the July 2012 “Hometown Heroes” cover and Silver ADDY Awards for the entire October 2012 “Gothic Gainesville” and December 2012 “Holiday Circus” issues. All three submissions will go on to the AAF Fourth District competition in Jacksonville in April.
Gainesville Today’s Creative Director, Jessi Miller, an AAF Silver Medal recipient, has won more than 20 ADDY Awards, including Best of Show, Judges’ Choice, and a Mosaic award.
“The ADDY Awards are the only nationally recognized, locally given creative awards, so earning them in our first months out-of-the-gate as the new Gainesville Today team is quite a victory,” she said.
Gainesville Today is Gainesville’s hip, sophisticated and provocative monthly magazine. Its mission is to provoke thought, change, interaction and abundance in the community today.
“I’m so proud of our team,” she added. “Everyone brings their solid experience, talent and passion to the table, creating a metropolitan undercurrent in our small city magazine.”
